Police Commissioner T20 Cup
President’s Guard and Region #10 recorded victories when the Guyana Police Force (GPF) Commissioner’s T20 Championship continued yesterday at Eve Leary Ground.
President’s Guard crushed Region #5 by eight wickets. Batting first, Region #5 were skittled for 78 in 13 overs. C/O G. Grant made 23 as Jason Heyliger picked up 4-25, while K. Naughton snared 3-14 and K. Hardcourt registered 2-12.
In reply, President’s Guard stormed to 79/2 in 11 overs. G. Jagnarine top scored with 30 runs, while Naughton and Hardcourt contributed 16 and 15 runs not out, respectively.
Meanwhile, Region #10 overcame Region #4C by 13 runs. Batting first, Region #10 was dismissed 131. R/C H. Niles made 35 while CPL. Travis Fulling and C/O J. Sears scored 20 each.
C. Jackson claimed 3-32, while SGT. Kelvin Leitch and COL. T. Layne took two wickets each. In response, Region 4C were bowled out for 118 in 16.1 overs. G. Sammy scored with 29 while A. Glasgow recorded 22. O. Burnett captured 3-21, while there were two wickets each for T. Fukllington, K. Chand, and J. Sears.
