Revelling in CSEC success

Dear Editor,

I recently had the joy of witnessing my niece achieve something that many, including myself, found surprising—she passed nine subjects in the CSEC exams. This might seem like an ordinary accomplishment to some, but it holds particular significance for her. Throughout her academic journey, she was often labeled a “dunce” and a “slow learner” by both teachers and students alike.

Seeing her overcome these hurtful labels and succeed academically was a moment of profound pride for our family. I believe there are three key factors that contributed to her success. Firstly, her unwavering reliance on God provided her with strength and resilience in the face of adversity. Secondly, the lessons she received at Morgan School played a crucial role in shaping her academic abilities. Finally, I must mention the impact of the Mathematics lessons she took and the supportive environment of our home, which allowed her to focus and thrive.

Her journey serves as a reminder that with the right support system, determination, and faith, no label can define a person’s potential.

Sincerely,

Anthony Pantlitz
