The restart of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/ Friends of Cricket 2nd Division 2-Day competition was marred by rain which caused a lengthy delay to the start of the Bel Air Rubis versus Ace Warriors match yesterday at the Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) Ground, Thomas Lands, Georgetown.

With action in the competition resuming after almost three months, Bel Air Rubis won the toss and elected to bat, however, they would not start their innings until well into the afternoon session.

When the game finally got underway, it was quite an underwhelming effort with the bat from Bel Air Rubis as Junior Phillips captured 5/33 from 9 overs to help the Ace Warriors rout their opponents for a paltry 101 all out inside 34 overs.
