Elderly care in Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) will receive a much needed boost when Traceyann Vanhersel launches her business venture, Sisters Care Home Care Service, in early September along with co-owner Thiffeny Mackenzie.

This initiative promises to bring much-needed support and love to the elderly and disabled members of the community. Vanhersel, a 34-year-old single mother with a profound passion for elderly care, embodies the spirit of dedication and community service.

With a robust educational background from the Venezuela Institute, where she completed courses in elderly care, child care, CPR, and fundamental care, Vanhersel has spent over nine years honing her skills in home care.

The former receptionist at Guyenterprise said that her transition to caregiver was easy. Being a receptionist was not pleasing and satisfactory to Vanhersel and she had begun caring for a relative before venturing into the profession and thus discovered her true calling. This experience not only brought her comfort and relaxation but also a deep sense of purpose.
