AGM of public service credit union adjourned for lack of quorum

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Guyana Public Service Co-operative Credit Union Ltd (GPSCCUL) which was convened on August 25th had to be adjourned because of the lack of a quorum.

A notice in today’s Stabroek News under the signature of Eslyn Harris, Secretary of the Committee of Management said that the AGM was for the years ending December 31, 2021 and December 31, 2022 and began at 10 am at the Critchlow Labour College, Woolford Avenue.

‘However due to the lack of a quorum within one hour of the fixed time for the meeting it was adjourned”, the notice said.

She then served notice that pursuant to Regulation 17 of the Co-operative Societies Regulations, the meeting will be reconvened on Sunday, September 1st at 10 am at the CLC.

The GPSCCUL has been riven by internal conflict that has seen recourse to the courts.
