Dear Editor,
I believe that the world is bracing itself for a transformation. Editor, I am speaking about the upcoming US elections in November. Thursday night last, I started to watch Kamala Harris most anticipated speech, I fell asleep but on the following day I watched it about three times. I could not get enough of Harris’s convictions and plans for America and the world at large. Editor, many have varying views about Harris but that’s ok; one thing for certain is that she is an intelligent, smart woman. Her mother nurtured her to be a professional and that’s the biggest take away and that’s why she is an inspiration to both women and men and our young daughters.
Editor, we are heading into a new era, a new atmosphere where in my lifetime I would get the opportunity to witness two black presidents, and even more charming, the first ever female president to be elected in the most powerful nation on earth. Editor, Harris has what it takes to be a powerful leader because she is academically equipped with the law and how it should work. Editor, I am so happy, and like many Americans and non-Americans I would love to see her win and do it convincingly. And Editor, like Harris has said, America needs someone who has “common sense”, as well as someone who would lead with respect and a whole lot of dignity.
Editor, for sure Harris have my vote. Let us keep hope alive. Go Kamala, keep running like your dad always said.
