Vendor charged with firing gun at seawall at two men

Rennie Inniss

Thirty-nine-year-old vendor Rennie Inniss appeared yesterday before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court charged with two counts of discharging a loaded firearm with intent.

It was alleged that on April 17, 2024, at the Georgetown Seawall public road, he discharged a loaded firearm at Sheldon Smith and Jermaine Duncan with the intent to harm, maim, or disfigure them. He pleaded not guilty to both charges.

Attorney Stacy Goodings told the magistrate that on the day in question, Smith encountered Inniss at the seawall, where he was spending time with his girlfriend. Smith then made a degrading statement. Inniss questioned Smith about the reason for his comment.
