Newton captures FARMSUP 50-Mile Road Race

KFC Evolution’s Aaron Newton captured first place in the Senior category of the Farm Supplies Limited (FARMSUP) 50-mile Cycling Road Race on Sunday on the East Bank of Demerara.

He crossed the finish line in one hour 52 minutes 40 seconds to take the race ahead of Segun Hubbard.

While Hubbard finished second, Kwame Ridley secured third place clinching the final spot on the podium. Over in the Juniors race, Ajuni Cutting was the top cyclist, crossing the line in one hour, 37 minutes 52 seconds ahead of Alex Newton (younger brother of Aaron) who finished second with Daniel Zhang in third. 

Hubbard for his outstanding effort, secured first place in the Veterans event, while Davenand Bissoon claimed the Category Four victory.
