Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, announced yesterday that Sébastien Sigouin is to be the new High Commissioner to Guyana and CARICOM.
Sigouin succeeds Mark Berman.
A release yesterday from the Canadian High Commission said that Sigouin joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 1997 as a human rights and humanitarian affairs adviser. He has also served as manager of the International Program and director of policy for the Canadian Human Rights Commission (2002 to 2010).
