The Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) issued a release yesterday informing the public that emergency repairs are scheduled to begin on the bridge at Beterverwagting Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara.
As such it is advising all pedestrians and motorists that there will be a temporary road closure at the aforementioned location from 9 am on Saturday, August 31, to 8 pm on Monday, September 02.
According to the MoPW, this temporary closure is to facilitate repairs to the steel deck of the bridge.
