Leonora Secondary School commenced its first school day without a working toilet for the students or teachers

Dear Editor,

Our Minister  of Education always on Social Media boasting of something or the other, but today being the first day of school, the Leonora Secondary School commenced without a working toilet for the students or teachers. To top it off, school officials refuse to open the gate for the students to leave the compound at lunch time. Why should a school be allowed to continue without a working toilet and hundreds of children present? Some two months to rectify all issues and still cannot be addressed. Wonder who have the bragging rights for this embarrassment in an ‘oil rich’ country?

Sincerely,
