St. George’s School of Sciences welcomed 81 students yesterday, marking a significant milestone in its recovery from a severe fire that destroyed the original building on July 20, 2022. The blaze, which was caused by an electrical fault, necessitated the complete reconstruction of the school on the same site.

In an exclusive interview with Stabroek News, Headmaster Kevin Williamson outlined the school’s vision for the newly rebuilt facility. He emphasized the institution’s commitment to providing diverse learning environments aimed at fostering academic excellence. “Our goal is to transform the students’ educational experiences through innovative learning environments,” Williamson explained.
