Two men were last Friday sentenced to three years, four months in prison by Magistrate Tamieka Clarke at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court after they pleaded guilty to break and enter and larceny.
According to a release from the police, Safraz Oullah called `Antsman’ a 27-year-old bus driver of Para Street, Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast, and Joel Christopher Li, a 30-year-old vendor of Lot 26 La Belle Alliance, Essequibo Coast, were jointly charged with the offence which was committed between August 24 and 25, 2024.
The police said the two stole a quantity of jewellery, US currency, watches and Guyana currency to a total value of $26,565,000 property of a 30-year-old businessman, his father and mother of Three Friends, Essequibo Coast.
