Cummings Lodge man dies after falling from mango tree

The police are investigating the death of Deryck Sattan also known as ‘Chowmein Man’ who fell from a mango tree in a yard at Fourth Street, Cummings Lodge on Tuesday

Sattan, a labourer resides with friends at Lot 18 Cummings Lodge, KV Scheme. His friend, Claude English, said that Sattan had left with a friend after lunch to go out but didn’t return. He was later informed by neighbours that Sattan had been pierced by a spike on a fence.

Leon Chandra, the friend who was with Sattan when the incident occurred, told  Stabroek News that Sattan was planning to go in the backdam, however, he told him he would like to pick some mangoes to make pickles.
