Police Commissioner T20 Cup

Constable Chemroy Kendall struck an attacking century to guide 4A/4B Combined to a massive 187-run win over Region #2 when the Guyana Police Force Commissioner’s T20 Cup continued yesterday at the Eve Leary ground.

Kendall put on 203 for the fourth wicket with Troy Drakes to steady the innings after 4A/4B Combined opted to bat first and were reduced to 59-3, losing the wickets of Constable Darson Larose (10), Constable Orvin Venture (0), and Constable Daniel Collins (04).

Kendall made Region #2 pay dearly after he was put down on seven, as he slammed seven fours and 20 sixes off 55 balls before he was eventually bowled by L.CPL Elton Graham for 168.

The left-handed Drakes struck four fours and a similar number of sixes in scoring a brisk 60 as 4A/4B Combined posted a mammoth 273-5. Constable Tameshwar Dhanpaul took 2-22.

Region #2, in reply, was put on the back foot early in the chase with Constable Odida Douglas and Larose making early inroads, reducing them to 8-3. Constable Shemar Holder then picked up three quick wickets to put them in further trouble, with the score at 40-6.

Region #2 never recovered and were sent packing for 86 in 14.1 overs. Inspector Ramesh Chattergoon and Inspector Roopnarine Ramnarine showed some fight with 28 and 21, respectively, as Holder claimed 3-28, Larose 2-5, and Venture 2-8.
