-after bond next door goes up in flames
A family is now assessing the damage they suffered after a fire of unknown origin swept through a storage bond yesterday afternoon at ‘A’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown, damaging their home in the process.
Thandika Williams, whose house was affected by the fire, explained that she was at work when she received a call at about 3:15pm. Williams said her home suffered both fire and water damage. She added that to prevent the fire from spreading further, the firefighters battled the blaze from inside her home.
Williams, who is the mother of four said the bond was fully engulfed in flames causing her house to catch fire just as the children were returning from school.
