Parmeshwar Jacobs called “Andy” on Friday appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with the sexual penetration of a child under the age of 16.
It was alleged that between February 1, 2021 and February 28, 2021 on the East Coast Demerara, he engaged in the sexual penetration of a child.
Jacobs was granted bail in the sum of $300,000 with the condition that he reports every Friday to the police and has no contact with the complainant. He was also instructed to lodge his passport with the clerk in charge of the Vigilance court.
The matter was adjourned to October 15.
