Road complaints may not be ‘empty noises’ after all

Dear Editor,

The observations raised about the recently commissioned Schoonord to Crane Road was shunted off as ‘empty noises’. Similar concerns have also been raised about the Mandela to Diamond carriageway. One letter writer drew a parallel with these types of roads in other countries as ‘farm roads’ (SN September 6). Now concerns have alighted with Cemetery Road, known to have been plagued with a mountain of problems, finally limping to conclusion a short while ago (SN September 6).  It begs are all these concerns and observations just ‘empty noises’?

Sincerely,

Shamshun Mohamed
