Following a successful medical outreach last weekend in Monkey Mountain Village, Region 8 (Potaro-Siparuni), another team from the Ministry of Health in Georgetown yesterday visited Kurukabaru Village.
Senior citizens and children received $2,000 vouchers for eye tests, with an extra $15,000 voucher available for those needing spectacles, a release from the ministry said. Women aged 21-65 accessed $8,000 vouchers for cervical cancer screening.
