The Guyana Tourism Authority, as part of its observance of Amerindian Heritage Month 2024, will feature several approved tourism-focused Indigenous communities, tour operators, and experiences that have made a significant impact on the country’s tourism developmental journey over the years.
In a post on its Facebook page it features a beautiful photograph of Surama Village, Region Nine, said to be one of the first Indigenous communities in Guyana to invest and embark on community-led and owned tourism development. The photograph was taken by David DiGregorio.
