Trinidad man charged with hacking to death siblings

(Trinidad Express) Vishnu Badal appeared before the court on Monday, charged with the murder of siblings Kervon and Shenelle Singh.

Both were chopped about their bodies last week Wednesday.

Badal, 33, of Naggee Road, New Grant, appear-ed before Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami.

He was remanded into custody, with a status hearing set for September 2025 and his sufficiency hearing set for October 7 next year.

Badal was held in Hindustan last Thursday morning by an off-duty police officer.

Over the weekend, instructions were given by the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to officers of the Homicide Bureau to charge him. The charge was laid by Corporal Ramoutar.

It was last week Wednesday that the body of 16-year-old Shenelle Singh was found on the roadway in New Grant with multiple chop wounds to the left side of her face.

Kervon’s body was found on a couch in the porch of a house a short distance away. His body had chop wounds to his neck.

The siblings were from Mayaro but Kervon recently started renting an apartment in Naggee Road.
