– investigation into impropriety allegations goes ‘belly up’

In what can only be described as a clandestine act, embattled Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) President Aubrey Hutson has returned to his post after serving a period of suspension due to allegations of impropriety in the administration of the entity.

Hutson resumed duties some two months ago, according to a well-placed source within the association, who made these revelations to Stabroek Sport under the condition of anonymity.

Additionally, according to the source, the independent investigation into accusations of unethical administration has gone “belly up” with nothing emanating from that investigation.

In July of this year, the AAG Executive Committee hosted a special meeting where they supposedly voted to schedule its annual general meeting in three months and further suspend Hutson as President in light of his failure to provide documents required for the council inquiry.
