Tenant charged with verbally abusing landlord

Fenton McAdams

A tenant and his landlord faced off at the Georgetown Magis-trate’s Court yesterday after the tenant was accused of using abusive language and engaging in inappropriate behaviour.

Fenton McAdams appeared yesterday before Magistrate Fabayo Azore to respond to the charge that on September 9, he verbally abused his landlord, Sharah Azad.

During the proceedings, Azad alleged that McAdams had been verbally abusive towards her on multiple occasions, particularly when intoxicated. She claimed that he not only cursed her regularly but also exposed himself inappropriately. Azad expressed frustration over the situation and told the court that she wanted McAdams to vacate her property immediately and cease any form of communication with her. According to her, the situation had become unbearable due to the tenant’s behaviour.
