Erskine, DeNobrega storm into divisional finals

Rebel Junior Tennis Championship

Kimora Erskine and Nathan De Nobrega moved one step closer to winning their respective divisional titles when the Smalta/Rebel Junior Tennis Championship continued at the GBTI court in Diamond, East Bank Demerara.

In the U-14 Girl’s segment, Erskine dismissed Melissa Goodman 4/0, 4/1 in the semifinal round. Erskine also defeated Rania Prince in the previous round 4/0, 4/1.

In similar fashion, DeNobrega thumped Rafeeq Prince 4/0, 4/0 in the Boy’s U-14 division. Meanwhile, Niomi Erskine overcame Isabella Grannum 4/1, 1/4, 10/7.

On Tuesday at the same venue, the team of G. Scotland/D. Luthers defeated the pair of M. Jardine/N. Bacchus 6/0, 6/1 to reach the final in the Boy’s Doubles division.

On the other hand, Goodman defeated Raniah Prince 4/1, 4/1 in the Girl’s U-14 segment. Continuing in the same section, Niomi Erskine crushed Jessica Grannum 4/0, 4/1.

In the Boy’s U-12 pool, Prince brushed aside Mickeal Roberts 4/1, 4/2. The event continues today at the same venue with another round of matches.
