Costa Rica Future Series Badminton Championship
Priyanna Ramdhani and Trinidad and Tobago partner Chequeda de Boulet advanced to the semifinal round in the women’s doubles of the Costa Rica Future Series Badminton Championship.
Ramdhani and de Boulet defeated the Costa Rican combination of Jenny Ng and Emma Rodriguez in the quarterfinal round 2-0. Ramdhani/de Boulet won the first set 21-9 before sealing the victory with a 21-4 showing in the second set.
In their earlier round of 16 clash, they defeated the El Salvadorian pair 21-12, 21-13.
On the individual side, Ramdhani was eliminated in the round of 16. She lost to an opponent from Portugal 13-21, 10-21. In her earlier round of 32, Ramdhani bested a Costa Rican foe 21-9, 21-7. The event concludes on Sunday.
