Region #9 and Region #6 recorded contrasting victories in the women’s division when the Amerindian Heritage Games Football Championship resumed last night at the Everest Cricket Ground on Carifesta Avenue and Camp Street.

Region #9 thrashed Region #5 by a 13-0 score. Alea Pedro and Josepha Leonard led the rout respective helmet tricks.

Region #6 scorers Alison Williams and Tanya Devair

Pedro found the back of the net in the 10th, 12th, 14th, and 21st minutes, while Leonard netted in the eighth, 16th, 23rd, and 35th minutes. Recording a hat-trick was Leandra Simon in the 14th, 24th, and 27th minutes, while Aliyah John bagged a brace in the fifth and 38th minutes.

On the other hand, Region #6 defeated Region #8 2-1. Alison Williams and Tanya Devair scored in the 14th and 20th minutes, respectively, for the victor. On target in the loss was Dollyann Franciso in the 15th minute.
