Kimora Erskine captured the Girl’s U-14 crown when the Smalta/Rebel Junior Tennis Championship continued yesterday at the GBTI court in Diamond, East Bank Demerara. Erskine bested relative Niomi Erskine 5/4(2), 4/1 in the final. Kimora also sealed her place in the Girl’s U-18 final following a 7/5, 1/6, and 10/3 semifinal win over Erin Tucker. She will now oppose Paula Kalekyezi, who dismissed Christin Richmond 6/2, 6/2 in the other semifinal fixture.

Meanwhile, in the Boy’s U-12 division, Rafeeq Prince defeated Hayden Chan 4/1, 4/1 in the semifinal round. Prince will now oppose Michael Fordyce in the final after the latter defeated Alexander Parkinson 4/1, 5/3.

Also, in the Boy’s Novices division, Nikosi Bacchus thumped Aishi Harnauth 6/0.
