Campbellville Street-ball Championship
North East La Penitence and North Ruimveldt secured quarterfinal berths following round of 16 wins when the inaugural edition of the Campbellville Village Cup Street-ball Championship continued last night.
North East La Penitence defeated Family of Mocha 1-0. Similarly, North Ruimveldt bested Red Force 2-1 on penalty kicks after regulation and extra time ended scoreless.
The other playing dates are: September 19th, 21st, and 26th, with the final pencilled for the 28th. The winner of the event will receive $300,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will pocket $150,000, $75,000, and $25,000, respectively, and the corresponding accolade.
