Crane Rovers and Beavers secured lopsided wins when the West Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League continued yesterday at the Uitvlugt ground.
Crane Rovers dismantled Limitless FC by a 4-1 score. Following a scoreless first half, Donford Williams commenced the rout with a 51st-minute strike.
Rawl Garrett then doubled their advantage as they found the back of the net in the 57th minute.
The score ballooned to 3-0 in the space of two minutes as Williams completed his brace. Limitless eventually got onto the score-sheet in the form of Jeremy Smith in the 75th minute. However, Tyler Wharton restored his team’s three-goal advantage as he netted in the 84th minute to seal the win.
Similarly, Beavers clipped Eagles 5-1. Seon Stephens handed the Beavers unit the initial lead in the 12th minute, only for Romel Medal to level proceedings in the 23rd minute.
However, Beavers retook the lead in the form of Stephen, who sealed his brace two minutes later. Kenaz Stephens increased their lead to 3-1 as he scored in the 27th minute. He then made his presence felt once more following a 32nd-minute effort to complete his brace and extend their advantage at 4-1. The score remained unchanged entering the halftime interval. Ezam David then registered the only conversion of the second half in the 81st minute to seal the outcome.
