Yesterday produced another bag of mixed results for Guyana as the 45th edition of the Chess Olympiad continued in Budapest, Hungary.
The Open Team of Candidate Master (CM) Taffin Khan, Loris Nathoo, Keron Sandiford, and Sachin Pitamber went down 1.5-2.5 against Jersey.
While Khan and Sandiford lost their respective matches to Jem Gurner and Kryztov Belzo, Nathoo and Pitamber put up a fight to earn Guyana some points. Nathoo managed to defeat Paul Carpenter while Pitamber earned a draw with Graham Mooney.
