Products from Guyana were yesterday introduced to a number of potential distributors and buyers from around the world who stopped by the World Trade Center Georgetown (WTCG) Guyana booth on the opening day of 27th Food & Beverage Show &Conference put on by the World Trade Center Miami at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
A release from World Trade Center Georgetown said that there was considerable interest in the spices and sauces and WTCG will facilitate follow-up discussions between the local manufacturers and the four potential distributors. Guyana’s range of El Dorado rums took centre stage in the Beverage Pavilion.
The show which has over 900 exhibitors from 20 countries will end tomorrow. Guyana’s participation in this event was made possible through the newly established WTCG, which is facilitating the exhibits of products from five local export ready companies. Exhibits of Demerara Distillers Limited’s (DDL) range of internationally acclaimed El Dorado rums and its Tropical Orchard Products (TOPCO) fruit juices, along with packaged seasonings from Roy’s Extra Quality Products, different types of sauces from Umami, and a variety of BBQ sauces from SS Natural Fruit Flavored Inc will be on display.
