Saipem launches programmes for young women, single mothers

Italian multinational oilfield services company,  Saipem has announced the launch of its 2024 Local Community Initiatives (LCIs) Plan and will be focusing on empowering individuals and fostering community growth.

According to a press release from the company, this year, Saipem will be partnering with the NGO Women Across Differences to launch two initiatives aimed at supporting women and single mothers. The first will be Computer Literacy for Single Young Women, and according to the release, Saipem will provide computer literacy training for five single, unemployed women aged 18 to 30. Selected through a collaboration with Women Across Differences, these young women will receive, the release says, full scholarship to attend the Global Technology Institute, gaining essential skills to enhance their career prospects and overall life quality.
