Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha and the Regional Vice Chairman of Region Six, Zamal Hussain through President Irfaan Ali’s Men on Mission (MOM) initiative last week handed over a house to 62-year-old Mohamed Hassan Ramdular and his wife 56-year-old Fazeeroon Ramdular of Lot 10 Vryheid, West Canje Berbice. Mustapha at the location lauded the partnership between the Government of Guyana and the private sector, which made the initiative possible, according to a release from the Ministry of Agriculture. This, he said, is an exemplification of corporate social responsibility allowing hundreds of people countrywide to benefit from the programme.
The two-bedroom, semi furnished flat concrete structure was built to allow wheelchair accessibility so as to accommodate Mr Ramdular who is wheelchair-bound.
The couple who has been together for over 39 years was grateful for the new structure.
