Taxi driver charged with making bomb threat to Marriott Hotel

A taxi driver appeared yesterday before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where he faced charges of misusing a communication device.

It is alleged that Travis Roberts used a communications device to transmit false information that endangered staff and guests at the Marriott Hotel in Georgetown.

The incident allegedly occurred on September 1, at Camp Street, Georgetown, where Roberts reportedly used a telephone to make a bomb threat. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
