GH Renovations T20 Cricket
Belle Vue and West Coast Warriors recorded contrasting victories when the West Demerara Cricket Association sanctioned GH Renovations T20 Championship continued.
Belle Vue defeated West Side Legends by one wicket. Batting first, the Legends recorded 146/7 in their allotment. Troy Benn top scored with 45 [5x6s]. The next best scorer with 26 [3x6s] was Aleem Khalil, while Hemendra Kowlessar chipped in with 21 [3x6s].
Bowling for the hosts, Dyal Rajpat recorded impressive figures of 4-24 in four overs. In reply, Belle Vue sneaked over the line they finished on 147/9, in the process scoring the winning runs off the final ball. Devon Harris top scored with 36 [3x6s, 2x4s], while Kevin Plant was the next best scorer with 24 [1×6, 2x4s].
Adding 20 and 15 runs, respectively, were Udesh Sumintra and Robin Seecharran. Davekumar Seodat was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-17, while Dhanraj Champerlall chipped in with 2-20.
West Coast Warriors thrashed Windsor Forest Vipers by 100 runs. Batting first, the Warriors unit stormed to 182/4 in the reduced 15 over per side contest. Amos Carlos led the batting effort with 74 [7x6s, 3x4s], with Ronaldo Scouten the next best scorer with 57 [5x6s, 2x4s].
Adding 28 [3x6s] was Jeremiah Scott. In response, the Vipers outfit was skittled for 82 in 13.5 overs. Mohammed Wazidali proved the only resistance with the bat as he tallied 32 [2x6s, 3x4s]. Vishal Jaigobin was the architect of the batting collapse as he snared 4-25, while Anil Sookdeo recorded figures of 2-17.
