Pan American Hockey Challenge
Guyana got their campaign off to the perfect start in the Pan American Hockey Federation Challenge, as they defeated Brazil by a 1-0 score in a historic result yesterday at the National Sports in Bermuda.
Makaylah Poole recorded the only conversion of the contest in the 56th minute.
Guyana will resume their campaign today against Paraguay.
The other teams in their group are Mexico and Bermuda. Following the completion of the pool round, teams will then be seeded and participate in placement matches for fifth and sixth, the bronze medal match, and the final, all of which are scheduled for Saturday, September 28.
