The Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) recently conducted successful community outreaches in three communities along the Berbice River—Hururu, Kimbia, and Sandhills—in Region Ten. In a Facebook post, the GTA said during these visits, its team, led by Lisa Williams, met Toshaos and village council members to engage in discussions on tourism circuit development. “The primary focus was to assess the communities’ interest in tourism, evaluate their current capacity, and collaboratively plan the next steps for advancing sustainable tourism development in the region,” the GTA said.
Below are some photographs shared by the GTA taken during the outreach.
