Olympic Kremlin won the feature event at the President Cup Horse Racing meet yesterday at the Rising Sun Turf Club in West Coast Berbice, in the process completing the prestigious double following its prior victory weeks earlier in the Guyana Cup.
Piloted by jockey Acedenir Gulart, Olympic Kremlin, who won the Guyana Cup at the same venue, stopped the clock at 1:47 in the one mile event. Nova Sol and Easy Time rounded out the top three in second and third place respectively.
In the L Class Non-earners race, Lion Heart secured the victory, while Dr. Switch, Danstar, and Legacy finished in second, third and fourth place respectively.
In the J Class and Lower/H3 Non-earners contest, Rachel clinched the top spot, while Hayley, Amazing Grace, and Top Gun ended in that order.
Meanwhile, Theory of Colours won the H Class Classic race, relegating American Traveller, Emotional Damage, and Stroke of Luck to second, third, and fourth place respectively.
Storm Bird then won the Two-Year-Old maidens race, defeating Miracle Star, Easy Bella, and Irish Eyes, who finished in second, third, and fourth respectively.
On the other hand, Companheiro Leal won race five which was three-year-old and over participants. Ritorna Vincetori finished in second place, while Creemore rounded out the top three. Stormy Entry finished in fourth place.
In the K Non-earners/L Class Open and J3 first time starters event, Money Time prevailed over Princess Samiyah, Kiss, and Swinging Jet who rounded out the top four in that order.
