Keven Currica, a 32-year-old taxi driver from Sixth Avenue, Bartica, appeared yesterday in the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tariq Mohamed, charged with driving a motor vehicle whilst his breath alcohol level exceeded the prescribed limit.
The police said in a release that Currica pleaded guilty when the charge was read to him and he was fined $200,000 or alternatively will face three months imprisonment.
