(Trinidad Guardian) Government Senator Laurel Lezama-Lee Sing has resigned.
The development follows reports that an Interim Protection Order was granted against her after it was filed by her husband Daren Lee Sing.
In a post to the Office of the Prime Minister Facebook page, it said, “On Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 consequent upon the resignation of Senator Laurel Lezama-Lee Sing, the President, Her Excellency Christine Kangaloo ORTT, on the advice of Prime Minister Dr the Hon Keith Rowley, appointed Mr Ancil Dennis as a Government Senator.
Dennis is a former Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
