The Guyana Amazon Warriors recorded their third straight win on home turf, dispatching the Barbados Royals in a grudge match by 47 runs at the National Stadium in Providence last night.
Ironically, the Royals sent in the Warriors to bat and were on the receiving end of a pummelling as Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope treated themselves to excellent half-centuries.
Hetmyer continued his purple patch, getting to a 34-ball 57, grinding the Royals bowling unit to a halt. His knock was complemented by Shai Hope, who punished his former franchise with a scintillating 37-ball 71.
