President Irfaan Ali has met with USAID Adminis-trator Samantha Powers.
A release from the Office of the President said that the meeting, hosted at the Guyana Mission on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, focused on areas for development and cooperation. Discussions also touched on advancement of current aid agreements.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugh Todd; Foreign Secretary Robert Persaud; Guyana’s Perma-nent Representative to the United Nations, Carolyn Rodrigues and several others, accompanied President Ali to the meeting.
