The entire drive lane (the western side) of High Street, Kingston, has been excavated, the police said today in an advisory to drivers.
“This drive lane facilitates the flow of motor vehicle traffic from Main Street in a northern direction, leading to increased traffic congestion. Traffic ranks deployed are utilising alternative routes to facilitate a smooth, continuous flow of traffic. However, the agency, which is effecting the works, did not place signs to support road usage.
As such, road users are advised to use other roads near the GECOM building on High Street, where road works are still ongoing”, the police said.
