On Wednesday, the US Embassy’s Law Enforcement Working Group handed over two state-of-the-art drones to the Commander of Regional Police Division #10 Superintendent Guy Nurse.
A statement from the police said that the commander, along with his administrative team, received the donation at the Mackenzie Police Station. The drones will be used for surveillance purposes. They will also provide the Police with better strategic oversight of the environment and help in crime fighting, the release said.
The commander, visibly moved, expressed his profound appreciation and gratitude for this timely gesture, making it clear that the donation was deeply valued and thanked them on behalf of the Guyana Police and Regional Division #10, the statement said.
