Jarod Granville, a 23-year-old of Lot 4 Henrietta, Essequibo Coast, and Rabindra Lall, called ‘Pope’, a 33-year-old of Lot 171 Henrietta Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, were jointly charged yesterday with armed robbery.
They are accused of committing the armed robbery on Xiaoming Yang, a 38-year-old Chinese national and businesswoman from Lima, Essequibo Coast, which occurred on Monday.
Granville and Lall appeared yesterday at the Suddie Magis-trate’s Court before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke, where the joint charge was read to the two accused. The prosecutor objected to bail and both defendants were remanded to prison.
The case was adjourned to 2024-10-16 at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court.
