Alex Amsterdam, a 29-year-old security guard of Lot 11 De Kinderen, West Coast Demerara and Terry Thorman, a 23-year-old mini bus conductor of Lot 113 Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara, were remanded to prison following their appearance in court to answer to two counts of murder committed on Arvinda Roopram and Mohammed Nazir.
A release from the police said that both of the accused appeared yesterday at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court #1 before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh, who read the charges to them. They were not required to plead and were subsequently remanded to prison until October 11, 2024.
The two men are accused of murdering Roopram and Nazir on Saturday, September 21, 2024, outside a nightclub at Leonora, West Coast Demerara.
