The Pan American Hockey Federation Women’s Challenge currently being staged in Bermuda, continued yesterday with the Guyanese Women’s team in action.

They took on top dogs Mexico after an impressive start to the tournament which saw them beating a highly ranked Brazilian side 1-0 before drawing 0-0 with Paraguay and Bermuda.

However, their fixture against Mexico ended with a heavy 4-0 loss yesterday. Despite the loss, the Guyanese women are still in the top sector of the competition due to their good form in the first three rounds. The competition will continue over the weekend with more matches to be played.
