Yesterday morning, between 5.30 and 9, a Joint Services prison search was conducted at the Mazaruni Prisons. The search was led by O/C Mazaruni Prison, Superintendent Cameron, Deputy Commander ASP Andy and DDI Henry and entailed 30 other ranks along with ranks from the GDF.
Searches were conducted at the Brick Prison and the Stores, where the following items were found:
* Five cellular phones
* Fifteen improvised weapons.
