Investigation into Main St kidnapping intensifies – police

Police are intensifying their investigation into the abduction of Joshua David, who was reported missing on the evening of September 27.

The incident occurred on Main Street, Georgetown and authorities have issued a wanted bulletin for several individuals in connection with the kidnapping. He was abducted on Main Street between Quamina and Middle Sts.

The suspects are: Aaron Alleyne, whose last known address is West Ruimveldt, Georgetown; Alpha Poole, last known to reside at Lot 127 D’Aguiar Park, Georgetown; Wayne Barker, whose last address was Lot ‘G’ Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown; Dwayne Griffith, formerly of Lot 68 Williams Street, Kitty, Georgetown; and Osafo Peters, with a last known address on William Street, Kitty, Georgetown.

Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum confirmed to the Sunday Stabroek that police operations are underway on the East Coast of Demerara, following intelligence received. However, he provided no further details on the progress of the investigation.

A family member of Joshua David expressed their distress over the situation, noting that the lack of communication from the police was causing even more anxiety.
