Mahaica Determinators handed Airy Hall their first loss in the East Coast Demerara Senior Men’s League, triumphing by a 2-0 score-line on Friday evening at the Buxton Community Centre ground.
Both conversions occurred in the first half via the boot of Julius Hamilton. The 23rd minute provided the opener as Hamilton blasted his effort past the opposing custodian. He then made his presence felt once more as he etched his name on the score-sheet in the 45th minute.
Meanwhile, the Golden Stars caged the Mahaicony Lions 3-0. Travis Williams opened the scoring in the 13th minute, before Dequan Douglas doubled the lead 10 minutes later. The score was then sealed in the 68th minute as Tyrese James scored.
With the result, the Golden Stars unit move onto eight points and climb into fourth place, while the losers remain on eight points but drop to fifth place owing to their inferior goal differential.
